I loved this more than I thought I could. Art and story are all beautiful. My heart!
I’m the bear in a relationship and this had me in tears from happiness, sadness, and hilarity. It is one of the cutest and most heart warming comics out there. Touches on just enough subjects to answer all the right questions without lingering needlessly on the individual situations. A celebration of love and nature in a completely unique manner.
Wonderful book! Very charming and funny. Would give 5 stars but book was bought new and arrived with a messed up cover and like food or something in the pages... Doesn't look new.
The title and the cover is what initially made me purchase it. Thank goodness I did! This is the cutest and most romantic graphic novel I’ve read! It made me squee and giggle!
Its one of my favorite comics. the concept at first seems a little crazy with a capital C but it's honestly so cute and you fall in love with the characters and the story and ive read it about a million times now! Im disabled and i carry a "stress bag" around with all the things that prevent me from freaking out in high stress situations and My Boyfriend is a Bear has earned a permanent place in my bag of wonders so draw from that what you will but definitely dont knock this book until you read at least once!
I don't know how this woman snuck into our house and documented my relationship with my wife, but here we are. This comic is adorable, sweet, and just a little sad at times.
O.M.G. THIS. WAS. AMAZING. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to yell at Bear...this book was EVERYTHING. In fact I am keeping it. It's staying on my keeper shelf. I NEED another book of Bear. Yes, this book hints that they have sex, have make out sessions, etc, but you don't see it, and honestly, look past him being a bear. Bear is her dream guy, Bear is kinda like the guy we can never have (in my case my bear would be James Spader lol), and when hibernation comes, it points at that. The artwork is great, the story is spot on, all I can really say is you have to read this. It's different, it'll pull at your heart, and it's SO FREAKIN GOOD.
