I read this series several times when I was younger and I was glad when they finally released a Kindle version. My only complaint is all the typos in the kindle version. For instance they consistently use the word Mallorca instead of Mallorea. It kind of pisses me off that no one has bothered to proof read this for typos before releasing.

Enchanter End Game The Belgariad Book 5 David Eddings 9780345300782 Books Reviews

I love this book, but the edition is riddled with typos, which is true of all the Belgariad digital editions. I have started the Malloreon, and while I'm only about a quarter of the way through the first book, it seems to be a cleaner copy. I'm not sure why the Belgariad seems to be typeset from a bad OCR scan and the Malloreon got a clean digital copy, but there you are.

difficulties aside, this is a fun read. I like this book best out of the series, because it's where the characters all seem to come into their own, and the conclusion of the story is a satisfactory end to a fun series. This isn't a heavy or complex series, but it's enjoyable all the same.
Enchanter's End game, part of the Belgariad, was a very enjoyable read. I'd owned the hard copy before but was pleased to get it in eBook form. I re-read the whole series and found it as engaging as I did years ago. I particularly enjoyed the characters, though, admittedly, they were stereotypes of the genre. They were meant to be though and reading their reactions to the same stimuli from each stereotype's POV was entertaining.

This was the final book of 5 and brought together most of the loose ends to resolution.

All in all, I really like the book as much as I had when I read it many years ago. The same can be said for the whole series.
I first read "The Belgariad" series in the 1980's (if memory serves). Since then I have re-read this series every 5 years or so - it is just that well written, in my opinion and the story line is pretty engaging, I think. Every now & then I want to read a really good Fantasy book - this is my go-to series for that reason.
Love this series and am reading it for the second time. I have the paperback books from 20 years ago but now I only use a . Unfortunately there was an issue with getting this on and I had to stop reading it about 3 months ago as you could only get it if you payed for the subscription service. Apparently that changed and I could finally finish reading it. Now it seems the same issue is occuring on the next series "The Malloreon". How long will I need to wait on this?
This is the last book in one of my all time favorite series. I first read it 30 years ago and have re-read it at least once a year since then. I see I have that in common with a lot of the other reviewers. To me, that is the hallmark of a great vs a good book...that you can read it again and again with the same pleasure you experienced the first time. This series is one of the great ones. If you haven't had the delight of reading it I highly recommend you do so. I envy you being able to experience it for the first time. Warning though..it is addictive. But, with these books, then the second series the Mallorean, Belgarath the Sorceror and Polgara the Sorceress there is plenty of material to indulge in.
I really enjoyed this entire series and have bought multiple copies to give to friends and family. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy fantasy. I also really enjoy that the books Polgara the Sorceress and Belgarath the Sorcerer retell the tale from other perspectives.

Everyone has their own preferences. Maybe read one of the overview novels to see if you are interested. I have always felt they were great books, but then again there aren't too many books I have met and disliked (except romance), I just liked these more than most.

I noticed that there were some negative reviews for this book and I was kind of surprised and how cutting some of those reviews were. Especially considering these people took the time to read 5 entire novels and then cut them all down. Why would you continue reading a series if you didn't like the first 4 books either (as stated in many of the reviews)? I guess I am just confused. I don't consider modern art to be art (a bunch or prescription medicine bottles in an open medicine cabinet is art?) so I don't go to modern art exhibits.

Also, if you look hard enough, you can see the likenesses between any two things quite clearly.
The conclusion of one of my favorite fantasy world journeys. I recently have been listening to the Mallorean on Audible, because of course, I can't get the books on . Listening to the books have changed the way I viewed certain sections. Eddings work becomes much more predictable and character personalities a bit caricature like. Still, I will buy the whole set of the Mallorean on when it comes out.
