However, more recently, keeping seahorse in an aquarium has been made easier due to widespread captive breeding which has played an enormous role in keeping seahorses at home. As they are now more commonly raised from fry in an aquarium, they are subsequently weaned on to and then reared on frozen foods, from only a few weeks old. Also included is information related to the near desperate plight of the seahorse in the wild, which could become extinct in the next 20 to 30 years in some parts of the World, unless major changes are brought into effect! For convenience I have compiled the book into two parts. Part 1. Covers all aspects of the essential equipment and setting it all up, as well as some recommended, but optional items you may need as well as recommended aquarium sizes and filters etc. Part 2. Focuses more on the seahorses themselves and their general care in your aquarium as well as breeding seahorses and dealing with ailments. There is also reference to seahorse friendly fish and corals as well as some of the well-known seahorse enemies. For such a price I would expect detailed information and high quality pictures. Most of these color pictures look to be taken with a cellphone! The information inside is easily found throughout the internet for free. I found a lot of chapters to create generalities which required further research for nearly every subject. There is also a woeful amount of grammatical errors throughout. If this was cheaper I could forgive these things, but for the price I expected much more. I'd suggest saving your money and doing some research online.Product details
